Tuscan compound with 17,000-sf main residence and 12,000-sf car barn, set on gentle rolling 8-acre parcel dotted with stately oaks and nestled against a verdant mountain side. The client’s dream was accomplished with a house that connects seamlessly and graciously to the surrounding landscape. This Tuscan compound and its 17,000-sf main residence and 12,000-sf car barn, is set on gentle rolling 8-acre parcel dotted with stately oaks and nestled against a verdant mountain side.
The rear of the house is oriented in an up-slope direction, designed around a terraced garden which steps up the hill with planting that gradually transitions from formal and studied, to native and wild. The outdoor terraces paved in cream colored travertine, create the style reminiscent of rural Italian architecture.
The exterior of the main residence is clad in a blend of warm rustic American Limestone along with stained wood eaves/beams, and several stone accents and details.
